Hello, and thanks for the question,
The seven main divisions of the law are as follows:
1. Persons
2. Property
3. Contracts
4. Torts
5. Crimes
6. Remedies
7. Government
Res ipsa loquitur (literally, "The thing speaks for itself.") is the legal principle that establishes liability based solely on the facts of the case. That is to say, the defendant is presumed liable for an accident when that which caused the accident was under the defendant’s control; the accident had to occur as a result of carelessness or negligence; and the plaintiff actions did not contribute to the accident.
Hope this helps!

Ok but what digest topics would you include in the research?

Hello again,
Is your question actually worded something as follows:
"Using West's "Outline of the Law" and "Digest Topics," list one of the "Seven Main Divisions of the Law" and at least one "Digest Topic" that you would use in researching the topic of res ipsa loquitur.
