The program doesn't compile in Netbeans.

In Netbean under the project folder you need to copy and paste the DATA File to get the output.

Do you want me to provide you compressed project in NETBEAN?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes, you can provide it to me.

Ok

Give me 15 - 30 min and I will provide you compressed project in Netbean for all.
Compressed Project in Netbean are ready.

Do I have to make the DATA file ".java" just like the 5 other programs? Or do I have to paste it in each of the five programs. This is the only part Im having issues with in netbeans.

No you don't have to make DATA file as .java file.

Actually problem was that in Code you will see a Line as follows:

File file = new File("cda3101pgm1a.dat");

It was by mistake trying to open the wrong file so in all the 5 code files I hade to change it as follows:

File file = new File("cda3101Fund.dat");

Because the data file I provided you has name "cda3101Fund.dat" not "cda3101pgm1a" thats why it was throwing error before because name of data file was different.

But when you change the above lines in all 5 codes than even that codes will start running.

If you face any difficulty than feel free to ask for help.

It says cant find the file specified. My professor has it as "pgm1Acda3101Fund.dat" on his website.

This is what i get when i try to run the program using "pgm1Acda3101Fund.dat:

at java.util.Scanner.throwFor(Scanner.java:907)
at java.util.Scanner.next(Scanner.java:1416)
at newpackage.LouisKpgm1.main(LouisKpgm1.java:30)

Ok Got it.

In that case you will need to place the DATA File with name "pgm1Acda3101Fund.dat" insted of what I provided in Project Folder and Change the above line that i specified to following:

File file = new File("pgm1Acda3101Fund.dat");

In all 5 Parts of requirement.

If you want me to do those changes than do let me know.

Thank you
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I tried it and says the following errors:

at java.util.Scanner.throwFor(Scanner.java:907)
at java.util.Scanner.next(Scanner.java:1416)
at newpackage.LouisKpgm2.main(LouisKpgm2.java:27)

Did you place the DATA File with name "pgm1Acda3101Fund.dat" in Project Folder ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No

You Need to Place that File In the Project Folder after that only code will start running because the code take the output from that file only.
Did the code work Or do you want me to do the changes and send you new fresh compressed projects for all 5 parts?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I just sent you an image of the screen.

I have modified it and have placed the DATA File in the project folder.

Use the new Compressed Project files to get the Output.

Can u look at the image and tell me if this is how to put the DATA file?

No.

You goto Below Path and Copy and Paste the DATA File in the below folder:

My Documents >> NetBeansProjects >> LouisKpgm1

Inside that Folder Paste the DATA File.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Ok. I got it! Thank you very much for your help!
