Hi, TheDoctor...I have another WebDev assignment...

Hello again! Thank you for requesting me.I will contact you once this is complete.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thanks! again let me know if anything needs to be clarified.

Hello again,

The first one says displays one of the tool images

That suggests that you were provided with images of tools to use with this assignment. Do you have those?

Further down in the assignments, it lists a number of images you are supposed to have. I am assuming these are available for you to download somewhere. Can you please send them to me?

Thank you

Hello again Bob!

Since I didn't here back from you about the image files, I went out and got my own images. I'm certain your instructor will not care one bit. The fact is that you completed these tasks quite impressively.

You can download the completed tasks here:

It includes a5p1, a5p2, the three a5p3 html files, and an images directory with three tool images in it.

Let me know if you have any issues. I'm here to help.

Please remember to rate my answer. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day!

sorry for the late reply. The list of the tools should have been in the word doc. under part 3. But the images are from a directory on the server and below is the list:

Yes, that isn't actually important. If you read through the assignments, you are only required to use three images throughout any given part. That list is there just for reference. They are the pictures from which you can choose. In the last part, you must pick one picture from each category.

But the pictures don't actually matter. The functionality around the pictures matters.

I don't have access to "the server" so I just used appropriate tool pictures to meet the requirements and stay in the categories listed. In my previous reply, I sent you the completed assignment. I even added a favicon to the last part to hopefully mildly impress your instructor.

Let me know if you need something else.

Please remember to rate my answer. Thank you

I actually need to use the images that he has on the server. What information do you need for that to happen?

You need to send me the images. I have absolutely no way of retrieving them. Not only is no link provided in the document instructions, but I do not have access to any server that you are talking about. All I know is that there are images of tools somewhere out there on the Internet.

I assume that you are able to retrieve them. Please do so, zip them up, and send them to me use

Thank you

Can you use the line <img src="/tools/saw.jpg" /> lets say to use the "saw" image? On my previous assignments I would use that line while supplying the other atributes of the <img /> element and also replace saw.jpg with the other images on that list.

For the purpose of the requirements, it is important to have the actual dimensions of the images used. Can you give me the actual link to the image.

It would be the URL you use when viewing your sites.

Thank you. I will make the changes and get them to you shortly.

You are very welcome. Have a great night!

I hope you get online soon as I was validating the pages and all the pages get this one error:

Line 144, Column 53: An img element must have an alt attribute, except under certain conditions. For details, consult guidance on providing text alternatives for images. <img src="" />

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hello, I'm dumb and figured it out...thanks

The assignment doesn't state that you need to run the files through W3C validation.

W3C validation is not required for any web site. Almost no web sites will fully pass W3C validation, and those are not actual errors. They are W3C recommendations. They have no impact whatsoever on a web site. The only instance when W3C validation actually matters is when a school professor cares.

So, is it required for your assignment. It didn't say so in the instructions that you sent me. It is easy enough to change, though it isn't a real error nor a real requirement of any kind.

Ya, for all the pages I have to get it validated...but what I did was for

I added this: alt="Picture of spanners." />
