# 1) Two 6.0cm * 6.0cm metal electrodes are spaced 1.0mm apart

1) Two 6.0cm * 6.0cm metal electrodes are spaced 1.0mm apart and connected by wires to the terminals of a 9.0V battery.

(a) What are the charge on each electrode?
(b) What is the potential difference between them?
(c) While the plates are still connected to the battery, insulated handles are used to pull them apart to a new spacing of 2.0mm . What are the charge on each electrode?
(d) While the plates are still connected to the battery, insulated handles are used to pull them apart to a new spacing of 2.0mm . What is the potential difference between them?

2) "I will upload the figure once its assigned to an expert"

(a)What is the charge on each capacitor in the figure, if V= 16.0V ?(Figure 1)
(b)What is the potential difference across each capacitor in the figure?

(3) What is the energy density in the electric field at the surface of a 3.00-cm-diameter sphere charged to a potential of 1000V ?
Kindly upload te figures. I will try to solve these problems.

There is something wrong in the answer

Sorry. I could find the error. Actually diameter is given and it was solved considering diameter. We have to take radius.
C = 4pi*(1/36pi*10^9)*(1.5/100)=1.67*10^-12F
Energy stored = 0.5CV^2 = 0.5*1.67*10^-12*1000000=8.33*10-7J
Volume = (4pi/3)R^3 = 4pi/3)*(15/100)^3 = 1.4137*10-5m^3
Hence, energy density = 8.33*10^-7/1.4137*10^-5 = 58.94J/m^3 Ans.
I hope it should be correct.

It also says wrong, I don't know why
