Fungiciides can interfere with growth and development by causing injuries to cells by inhibiting certain processes of the cell such as injury to the cell membrane, destroying proteine and enzymes, also destroying energy production and respiration such as production of ATP, and also interfering with the building process of RNA.

What we find in humans is that we are finding resistance to certain fungal infections and they are getting more difficult to treat especially in people that are Immunocompromised such as those that have HIV / AIDS, or those that have cancers and hence these people have weakened immune systems and have a more difficult time to fight back.
Hence the growth system in the human body to product good cells to protect the human body is incapable of doing so.
