The U.S. Supreme Court Justices are appointed to serve in high

Resolved Question:

The U.S. Supreme Court Justices are appointed to serve in high public trust roles. They are entrusted to interpret and resolve important issues that affect American society and government. Despite the diligence and care as well as well-thought opinions and scholarly interpretations made by the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, there have been many critics and theorists that think certain cases or issues should have been decided differently. In this discussion, you will research and debate the various constitutional interpretations of the corresponding cases.

Choose one U.S. Supreme Court case from any time in history that you don’t think was decided properly. Next, state the court’s decision and evaluate how it violates your interpretation of the constitution as it stood at the time and why the court should rule differently. The arguments should be based on constitutional theories and principles, case law, history, and relevant aspects. You may not write on Roe v. Wade or Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Below are some key areas or points to consider in your response:

Acknowledge the majority and dissenting points and how each point may be correct or wrong;
Examine and analyze the implications of the case results;
Provide the various issues and facts that surround the case or issues presented, how the case or issue has progressed, and what went into making the court’s decision
