In at least 200 words, address the following:
1. What are the underlying ethical values for and against the death penalty in relation to religion and the social contract theory?
2. Is the death penalty a deterrent? If not, is its continuation justifiable/defensible?
3. Is it right to kill one person to possibly prevent another's death? Either way, a person has died. Who is to say that the individual who was hypothetically saved would be a better value to society?
4. Is it ethical for offenders who vandalize, assault, or kill people based on the victim's identity as a member of a racial group to be punished more severely than a garden-variety criminal?

Assume you are a civilian. The police department in the community you live in has been engaged in an aggressive traffic enforcement campaign, which has drawn much attention and criticism from local newspaper. In a letter to the editor of that paper , state your support, or non support, for such a campaign.
Word count less than 500.
I will add on my bonus.
Thanks again Lani if you can.
Yes I can help on that but please do me a favor. Can you please that assignment in a new thread. We need to comply with the site rule to post new questions in a new thread and I had been reminded on that. I'm on that but please open a new thread for that so I can post the answer there. Thanks.

Long story short the Chief at Plympton PD is my friend. I wrote a letter to be mail to him.
any chance you can revise it for me?
Please send over what have you got and I will look on that. Thanks.
To: Chief Pat Dillion
Fr: Edwin Diaz
I wanted to talk to you in person but like you said I don't want the officer to think I have the upper hand on my interview.
I wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to go upon the board to explain my resume and also my experience in professional police work. As you know me from our days with the Muni's I'm still the same person we just took different direction to be were we at.
I love the field of police work is what I have been accustom to do all my life. I know find myself one foot in and one foot out from being a fulltime police officer. I want to keep working hard to find my way back as a full time police officer and what better way that to finish my career with a friend that I use to work with side by side.
I have learned so much in the field of police work and would not want to stop here know. I have a family to look after and want my daughter to be proud of her dad once again when I put on my uniform.
Pat I would love to be a part of the Plympton Police Department if the chances present itself. I live in Taunton and the distance is perfect for me and my family. What better place to work than for a good friend /Chief that I look up to and always respect as a leader.
I look forward to meet again during my interview, Sir.
If I can have this when you get a chance today.
Alright, I'm waiting Sir.
