1b. Define and describe the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the EPA's role in the EPA process.
1c. Describe the steps taken to develop a final EIS
2a. Using the EPS's website or an internet search, find an EIS study that has been conducted in your city or state. List the EIS study here, including the title of the EIS and geographic location. (Dr. Steve, you would use New York City)
2b. Why was the EIS conducted?
2c. Summary of Issues (describe what the project described in the EIS was to accomplish and the specific environmental and/or human health concerns caused by this issue).
3a. Define Environmental Justice.
3b. Describe the steps built into the EIS process that helps to address issues of environmental justice, and include real-life examples from the EIS you researched in question 2 above.
4a. What are the pros of the EIS process?
4b. What are the cons of the EIS process?
