I agree with the statement "Every individual employee in the organization plays a role in controlling work activities." As time progress the style of management does too. The current trend is a widening of organizational structure. Essentailly, unnesscesary levels of managers are being eliminated and control is shifted downward to line employees. This process is called empowerment, in which lowel level employees are charged with the responsibility of controlling their own work activites. Although managers contribute to controlling work activities, each individaul in the organization plays a role as well.
