There is something else I was wondering about regarding acid/ph levels. There is an area around my penis tip that is not quite right. I've wondered if my semen PH level is/was too acidic (my urine tested fine) or if it is a yeast problem. I have a picture of it.

Hello. I looked at the attached photo, and there are a few possible explanations for the slightly raised skin. It could perhaps be a yeast problem, however skin irritation caused by yeast is almost always very itchy. Since you did not report itchiness, it seems that yeast is less likely. Another possibility is warts, though it doesn't look like this in the photo. The most likely explanation is that it is a normal anatomical variation. There is a condition called Pearly Penile Papules which can make the skin around the head of the penis look a little different. If you search for "Pearly Penile Papsules" in Google Images, it will give you some photos for comparison. This is a benign condition and no treatment is necessary. Please let me know if you have more questions of require further details and I will send a response as soon as possible. Dr. Zeoli
I don't believe it was there before and it seems to fluctuate in size/color some. You're right, it hasn't been itchy. Those papules look like what I have at the bottom of the head, but I'm only concerned with the tip. I wonder if it could be a form of contact dermatitis?
Even if it is benign, I'd rather it not be there. I'm a virgin, so it can't be STD related. I want it to look normal for when I marry.
I see. Thank you for the additional information. As you may know, the skin at the head of the penis is a bit different than the skin in any other part of the body. It changes its size, shape, and color throughout the day and it is affected by many factors including temperature, hormone levels, and emotional state. It will also change as a normal part of the aging process. It is normal for the size, shape, texture, and details of the penis to vary from person to person. These kind of small differences are what make each person unique and special. In all honesty, I could barely notice the raised skin at the tip in your photo even after you mentioned it. This looks completely normal to me, and as a doctor I have seen a lot of them! Your future wife will not notice this at all. And she will love you regardless of what your penis looks like. I do not think that this is contact dermatitis because there are usually red lesions filled with yellow fluid when this is the diagnosis, and those are not present in your photo. It is a normal part of being a young man to notice these kinds of small differences in your body, but they are truly normal and do not indicate any problem at all. Because these are normal anatomical features, there is not really anything that can be done to change them. My best advice is to practice self-acceptance and non-judgement. You are truly perfect just the way you are. Also it may be a good idea not to put too much Manuka Oil on this sensitive part of the body as it may promote irritation. Oils such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, and even olive oil are safer to use on the penis.
