My B-12 is on the low boarder of reference (thus insurance won't cover it).I think I big part of why it's been dropping is because my ileum is diverted.Would I feel a difference after one injection? What will I feel?At my current level, is it worth getting them?

Hello.I often recommend my patients receive at least a series of 5 injections when doing B12 shots. About 10% of individuals will feel a difference after one. If you do not notice a difference after 5, I would not continue doing them. One important thing...the form of the B12 is critical. Most physicians use cyanocobalamin because it is inexpensive. However, it is an inferior form of B12. I suggest you find a physician who uses methyl cobalamin as this form is far superior in function and use. I hope you find this helpful. Please check accept so at I may receive credit for my work. If you have any other questions, please let me know.-Dr. John
So are you saying it is worth getting at my current level? And what about the part regarding what difference I will feel from it?
I am saying that it is worth at least 3-5 injections...however, I am not sure what you will feel from it as this depends on th individual. -Dr. John
One more thing to add...The most common thing people feel after getting a B12 shot is more energy. Not somuch Ike a caffeine high, but a general sustained increase in energy. Overall, people often notice a general improvement in well being. It also helps improve mood. Those are the common things people feel.

Hello.
I saw your question regarding melatonin and valerian...However, it is listed under neurology and JA will not allow me to answer it as I am not a neurology expert. Can you change the category please?
Thank you
Yes, I tried a few times to let JA know their interface is broken; maybe it's working now. Every time I went to your profile page and submitted a question specifically for you, it instead sends the question out into the general populous.
Weird. I think it is working OK now. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
