I just set up the rear speaker to connect with my 300

Customer Question

I just set up the rear speaker to connect with my 300 soundbar and subwoofer. I got it set up correctly, but now my Bose remote control doesn't act as a universal remote and I can't control my TV with it.
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It's a Samsung and I know it's not the TV. I've had the soundbar and subwoofer for 2 months and it worked perfectly. I just added the rear speakers today.
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just started pushing buttons on the remote. Probably made it worse. I know there's a protocol that I need to go thru to have the Bose remote take over. Just can't remember what it is.
JA: Anything else you want the theater expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

What's the model number of the Bose remote control?

Have you selected the correct input on it?
