Ok, what was the model of your old phone? Different bluetooth versions cause this, not all bluetooth is created equally.

Hi...my old phone was an iPhone 5

Ok, the iPhone 5 uses Bluetooth version 4.0, and the 6 uses 4.2. There may be a software update for the speaker, that would be the route to go. The software will determine whether or not it will communicate with 4.2. Click here, update the software, and tell me if you can get it to work.
