You have followed the guide exactly with the soundbar?
It really should work via optical do you see the optical socket\ lead led lit?
Yes if you see a phone call option that is the site not me I do not use that option anyhow
Do you have ordinary sound via the TV\CABLE BOX?
Then you used optical out from the TV so that rules out the box
So you have the box AND the TV not working via optical, anyhow I would sugget that you re-boot everything first unplug everything from wallpower wait 5 mins then replug back in again let meknow if there is any change
We move on from that angle
I will need the model number of the TV too please when you get a chance to work this out
