I have a new OLED (55") TV. I bought an LG sound bar, plugged into optical port on TV and get no sound or lights on the sound bar. I have used the setup (internal speaker & optical) on the TV. Also the subwoofer is blinking green when I plug it into an outlet. So, how do I get the sound bar to turn on?
JA: Has this happened before? And have you tried unplugging your LG and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: No - the TV is about 2 weeks old, and the sound bar is just out of the box.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: The TV menu works. The sound bar is the first and only external device I have tried to hook up to the TV.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It just happened. AS I said, the sound bar was just purchased, and the TV is about 2 weeks old.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
