Home Theater Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi, I'm Nathan.Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.
Do you mean the volume is fluctuating up and down on its own?Is this a Denon AVR-1082?
Okay does this happen on all sources/inputs (fm radio, cd, cable/satellite, etc)?
That is an optional automated ad, which you may disregard if not wanted, but I do need the above requested info to continue here, please.
Yes we will continue here in the chat, but I cannot provide you an answer until you give me more information:
does this happen on all sources/inputs (fm radio, cd, cable/satellite, etc)?
So you have the computer sound going through the denon, but only the computer sound has the issue? No problems with other sources such as the built in fm radio on the denon? If you are not sure, I need you to please test that now as these details are critical to addressing the issue properly.
Okay if other inputs are all ok, then this is an issue with the computer more than with the denon,
can you please disconnect the denon from the computer, and test if the sound surges in the same manner via a different set of computer speakers or even headphones?
We cannot address the issue without being able to do some further testing,
you could try connecting the same cords as you are using from the computer to the denon, but from computer to an input on the tv and see how the computer sound comes out through the tv speakers, if you cannot try computer speakers or headphones.
There are other steps we can take, but I do need to have you do this basic testing first.
Do you need more help with this?If so, simply reply back on this page.
