If you connect the Left speaker to the Right terminals and the Right speaker to the Left terminals, does the same speaker not work, or the other one?
Ok. So is it the same speaker that doesn't work regardless of which terminals it is connected to?
Ok, the SX565 has two sets of speaker terminals: A and B, so you can hook up 4 speakers. Can you try the B terminals please and let me know. You will need to press the B button on the front.
Let me know.
Ok, then you have lost a channel - most likely a power transistor has failed due to age maybe.
If you can find a mom and pop repair shop, it should be a reasonably easy fix. since it is older technology. What is your zipcode?
I see no place near you that I could recommend.I did find a place in MN that repairs vintage receivers and they are also authorized for Pioneer. Obviously you would need to send it to them.

May I ask how much you paid for the receiver and how long you have owned it?Steve
Ok. It's a nice vintage unit that is worth keeping. I would call that place and ask what they would think the repair cost would be.
