Hi Al and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, what others devices are connected to the Bose CineMate 1 SR? ...using what kind of cable(s)?

Does it at least power on?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
cable box for tv and Apple TV digital audio cables that came with the sounder system yes it powers on and it pairs to the subwoofer

Appreciate the additional information.

Let's try a simple test; connect a pair of red & white RCA-to-RCA cable to the 1SR's TV Input R-L jacks. Set the Bose for TV as input and lightly touch the tips of the unconnected RCA plug ends. There should be a thump/humming sound from the soundbar.

Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.
