Hello Hal,

Approximately how old are the control pads?

How many control pads do you have, and how many are affected?

Have they suffered any sort of damage, or have you had any recent power outages or thunderstorms?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
about 7 years old
I have 12 throughout the house
there are about 60% that have lost some or all of the screen display
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
no damage or power surge or lightning strikes
Expert:  ITPeter replied 5 months ago.

Did the control pads fail gradually over weeks or months, or did 60% of them all fail at once?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
gradually since last year
the control pad still works but you cannot see what function is displayed
Expert:  ITPeter replied 5 months ago.

Ok then the control pads are reaching the end of their life.

It may be possible to replace the displays, however the amount of labor involved, and the fact that other aging electronics in the pads may fail soon after, mean that it is usually not worth it - you should plan to replace all 12 control pads throughout the house and keep any working ones as spare replacements in the event of any future failures.

Pete.
