I have to stereo's in my garage and want to hook them

Customer Question

Hi, I have to stereo's in my garage and want to hook them together so on game day have all the sound needed. I have a samsung HT-C550 home theater system that only has one hdmi out, optical in, and video out jack, & component video output jacks - and a Innovative Tech CD Stereo system with blue tooth model ITCDS-5000 how can I connect the two together so I can use all my speakers?

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Can you tell me the source of the games you're watching? Antenna, basic cable, cable/satellite, etc?

No I have the hopper in my living room and a wireless joey
Expert:  Nathan replied 10 months ago.

Thanks. The wireless joey would be considered the dish box in this case.

You'll connect the joey to your tv via hdmi,

then hook optical out of the joey to the samsung

For the 2nd system, you'd need a bluetooth transmitter: http://amzn.to/1O7GkGZ

That will connect to the red/white ports on the joey, and then be paired wirelessly to the other system.

This will give you sound out of both, but to forewarn you, the sound quality may not be what you expect.

The sound from 2 different systems, especially with different connection methods, is likely to conflict and cause some echos or distortions. In a garage environment, it may not be a big deal though. If you find you aren't happy with the sound from the 2nd system, you'd be better off just leaving it off completely and turning up the volume on the main unit.

Best regards,

Nathan
