I just bought iLive soundbar but its not working on my

I cant find the papers now. Its Panasonic Viera TV

You find that at the back of the tv and it should start with the letters TH or TC as in TH-P40...... for example

Is it optical or standard rca/phono type stereo cable ?

Its standard rca cable connected to the audio. I don't have cable. I have Nexus streaming box connected. Can you do it faster because I have to go to work soon.

Alright then here is faster , this tv does not have analog audio outs

The only audio out is optical so unless you have a digital to analog converter you will need an optical cable and a sound bar that can take optical .

This is where the sound bar model number would come in handy
