Could you please tell me, are there any other speakers hooked up, or just the Deftechs?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It is a pioneers elite vsx-84txsi. I have 4 def tech mythos 2 speakers and 1 mythos 3 center speaker and a super cube II subwoofer, all def tech.
Expert:  Wayde Alfarone replied 10 months ago.

Ok, so you have it set up as 5.1

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
that is correct.
Expert:  Wayde Alfarone replied 10 months ago.

If you unplug the speakers one at a time and test the unit, this will help determine if you have a bad speaker causing the amp to go into protect mode. By the way, are you using any sort of speaker switch or wall volume control? I know it sounds dumb, but I have to ask.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It is OK. I am not home so I will need some time to check on that. I will get back to you.
