Hello, my name is Rusty. If you need help with a specific setting, let me know. Press receiver, then press Setup. Scroll to Manual SP Setup, and that is where you make all of the manual adjustments to each speaker.

Expert:  Rusty replied 1 year ago.

Hmm, something is strange. Let's reset it, and try the microphone again.

1 Switch the receiver into standby.

2 While holding down the TONE button, press and hold the STANDBY/ON button for about three seconds.

3 When you see RESET? appear in the display, press ENTER. OK? shows in the display.

4 Press SETUP to confirm. OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver has been reset to the factory settings.

Now try the setup mic, and tell me the results. It's important to place the mic where you sit.

Hi Rusty, it seems that there are some oxidation problems with the contacts on this particular pioneer unit. This may be a big part of the problem. Appreciate your attempt to help.
Expert:  Rusty replied 1 year ago.

Sorry for the delay, I'm out to dinner. If the terminals are oxidized, unplug it and use DeOxIt on the terminals with non soapy steel wool or a toothbrush. Cut new ends for your speaker wires, and tell me if the problem goes away.
