I have a Bose 1-2-3 Surround System but the CD/DVD reader no longer operates. Is there a replacement unit available for the reader?
Thanks.

This drive is actually made by toshiba, part number SD-M1612.

They are getting difficult to come by, and you wouldn't likely find a new one, but you can get a refub drive: http://www.supplysale.com/prodinfo.phtml?id=1242020

Personally, considering the cost of the part and what you'll pay in labor, it is probably not worth the investment, as you aren't gaining significant functionality, it is still just a standard dvd player. For about the same price you'd pay just for the part, you can buy an updated/upgraded Bluray player instead, to take advantage of the newer disc technology with better picture quality, and get some other features too - you can still route the sound through the bose system.
