My sound system is not outputting sounds. I need to fix it.

My sound system is not outputting sounds. I need to fix it. To start with, on the icon of sound in the task bar there is a round red circle with a white cross in it. I believe it is telling me there is something wrong with sound system. Please help to fix it

You keep asking me to rate your service. I still am waiting from you a solution to be able to use my computer for sound. We have not yet found a solution. Last time I sent you the dialogue box and am waiting for more instructions from you because what you suggested to me still did not work and I still am not able to hear a sound out of my computer. Tell me are you able to find a solution?
