I have a KLH model twenty four. I want to connect its speaker wires to myYamaha receiver to utilize the Allison speakers I have connected to it. Can this be done without ruining the KLH or the Yamaha?

Still, considerations for a 'safe' connection:

  • • the Yamaha and the KLH can not be wired directly together to a single speaker load. There would have to be a selector switch of sorts;
  • • power in watts and coil impedance in Ω rating of the Allison speaker(s);
  • • power output and impedance requirement of the Yamaha.
