Hi Sorry to hear that.
How old is the unit?
Also is there any signs of life?
Was it on when it failed or just wouldn't turn on one day?
Was it very loud when it failed?
5yrs old yes it tries
Hello arre you there
Ok, does it click after a few seconds internally? but remains lit but no sound?
it clicks and blinks green as if it's going to turn on then blinks red and nothing happens
Thank you Eric.
Any click sound?
Also can you tell me if there is a pattern to the blinking red light?
Example: 3 quick blinks then a tiny pause, then repeat.
If so how many blinks before the repeat.
no pattern just blinks red fast
Please try to reset the processor on the Denon to see if this solves the problem.
Unplug the unit from power for 2 minutes, during this time check the speaker connections to make sure that no fray ends of sire are touching the chassis of the receiver.
Plug the unit back in, then press and hold the "Speaker A" and "Speaker B" buttons simultaneously and press "Power" one time.
The display should start flashing at intervals of one second is the processor reset worked, and you would then release the Speaker buttons.
If this fails to cure the problem, then the unit has a failure in the power supply (the most common failure for Denon and Marantz units), and is in need of service to have the voltages checked and components replaced as necessary.
Unfortunately beyond this there is no reset or sequence of buttons you can press to solve the problem.
