the receiver is fairly old, but it was working fine yesterday. I really think it must be a setting mistake i made, but i spent a good hour on it and cant seem to get it working. there is no sound coming from it at all.
I tried using your reset trick by holding the speaker buttons and pressing power but it didn't do anything.
oh and i don't have the remote for it, so any changes i make have to me on the unit itself.
the speakers on "on" ;)
the antenna is hooked up to the back of the unit.
I have my apple TV hooked up to the Optic #1 at the back of the unit.
the unit is set to DVD
the Digital light is on and the unit registers the optic input
I have the RCA R/L output from the TV hooked up to the V.D.P RCA R/L IN
when I switch to V.D.P there is again no sound. Same when i use Coaxial from the T.V or DVD to the unit.
yes, about three seconds, and a little quieter.
tried, and nothing. no sound regardless of the volume.
Thanks my friend,
You've confirmed what I feared. I agree that repairs would probably be a wast of money considering the age of the unit. what would you recommend I replace it with in the $400-500 range?
