Need your help . . .
I have a Sony es amplifier which was made for the German market. It is 220V with a 2 pin plug. If I wish to use it here in the U.K. do I have to have it converted to 240v ? or can I just stick a 3 pin plug on it ? Dave T

Specification on back of equipment reads . . .


Integrated Stereo Amplifier / Ac 220V / 50/60Hz / 390W


Model: TA F 700es.

Hi David,

An automatic AC voltage regulator would be fine to provide 220V supply to this amplifier as 20V difference can create little heat in amplifier that may cause problem in the long run.

Automatic voltage regulator like this one or similar would be good to use with this amplifier.
