Hi and welcome to JustAnswer, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, what happened before it started the beeping?

...power interruption?

Was a camera turned off?

...anything out of the ordinary?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Camera runs 24/7. We came in the office Thursday morning and the system was beeping. I do not know if there was a power interruption or not.
Expert:  Louie replied 2 months ago.

The beeping sound is an alarm indicator; something has happened and the system is informing the user/owner of the event.

Have you checked if it still abale to record?

...actually, check if the hard drive is still recognized?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
How do we check if hard drive is still recognized?
Expert:  Louie replied 2 months ago.

Are you able to open the Main Menu?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Expert:  Louie replied 2 months ago.

Can you please try:

  • right click to open Menu Bar;
  • click on Main Menu;
  • if required, key in the numerical password;
  • click on Device;
  • select HDD tab;
  • check status (State) of the installed hard drive(s).

Do not click on anything else particularly the Format buttons.

All done and rebooted.....beeping persists!
Expert:  Louie replied 2 months ago.

Next check:

  • are all cameras displayed;
  • is the HDD LED light at the front panel blinking;
  • is the DVR connected to the Internet or to the network.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
All cameras are displayed. The HDD button on the front panel is red and blinking. I do not know if the DVR is connected to the internet or network.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
What is the default password?
Expert:  Louie replied 2 months ago.

Check the networking cable at the back of the DVR connected to the LAN port. Trace / follow that it is plugged into your router/modem.
