I have Honeywell alarm system M7240. On the screen it was sowing "bat" message. I replaced the battery and it still shows "bat" message. Is there a special code that I need to enter to reset it and remove that message?

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.Yes, you need to clear the battery warning error. In some cases, you enter your code, then 'Off', then enter your code, then 'On' again.

Also, another approach is to wait for the new battery to charge fully, several hours at least, then enter your code + 5 to test the battery siren (or something) then your code + 1 to get out of test mode.
