Customer Question

Good day. I have nemtek stealth m25s energizer. The problem is that we put it on and in about 15-20mins it sounds an alarm. Once we reset it it shows fence good and then within about 30 secs it flashes check and another 30 secs later it flashes alarm then goes back to flashing good. Then in about 20mins the alarm sounds. only to repeat the whole cycle again. the wires have now been replaced, the energiser tested and serviced and there are no wires off or problems on the fence. please help!

Already Tried:
replaced earth and live wires on fence and energiser, replaced links and other possible connections which could be faulty

Hi With the fence on and in alarm take a walk around the fence and listen for any shorts...

With this type of fault I have found the problem is often a failing insulator causing a partial short... These can take a while to of the fence being on before triggering an alarm... It is sometimes easier to do the walk around at night and look for the flash through the insulator...
If no luck then you will need an electric fence volt meter to trace where the voltage is lowest to track where the partial short is...

Hi again. Thanks for this. I tried this and it does not seem to be the problem, what now?

Next step is to measure the actual fence voltage...

It could be there is a fault with the units voltage sensing circuitry causing it to think it is in alarm when it isn't... The best way to confirm this is to see what the voltage is when it is in alarm, but you will need an electric fence voltmeter...

You should be able to get a similar type of meter in South Africa..
