In the regular screen it states ecp error i cant arm/ disarm no communication AUI is enabled .Keypad is properly address i addressed it as 01 and i tried 16 as well as 30 enabled in panel and on keypad. No joy
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXX it would be my pleasure to help with your issue today.
I've got a couple of questions for you about your application.
First, are you powering the keypad from the 128 panel or are you powering it from a separate power supply unit
Next, how many keypads do you have on the system. Is it possible that this keypad is addressed as the same address as another keypad on the system.
I see from your notes that you have the AUI enabled in the control panel. That was the other thing that I would have you check. Just to be sure re-check it and also make sure that the keypad address that's enabled for AUI matches the keypad address that's enabled in the keypad.
If you are using an external power supply to power the keypad, try power cycling the panel and the keypad, and re-applying power to the panel first and let it have time to properly boot, then apply power to the keypad.
Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything else that I can do to assist you. Please don't forget to accept and leave positive feedback if I've been helpful. Thanks!!!
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have tried to power the keypad off of the panel as well as a external power supply when the external was used i connected panel and power supply grounds togther so there is common ground. still no joy.
currently i have two keypads i took all others off. I defaulted the panel with *97 so i have one 6160 (fixed) and the 6280 AUI. AUI is enabled i set it first to address 1 in panel and matched that in keypad. Then i tried it to address 2 and 16 , 30 ect. still no joy.
do u know what the diffrence is with the vista 128fb and the vista 128fbp programming looks the same is it possible that the keypad is not compatible with the 128fb.
Just to not i know the keypad is communicaing with the panel when in concole mode. for example if im on the main screen i try to arm disarm nothing happens there. keypad states no communication with panel. howver on the 6280 main screen i press other options there is a console mode that looks like a traditinal keypad. In there i can see zone status as well as arm and disarm panel which is real weird. so its communicating howver not fully. could it be not compatible i dont know if its a keypad issue or panel issue . i just bought the keypad new.
The 128FB is a fire and burg panel only. The 128FBP adds the integration of CCTV and Access control all through the same workstation stoftware. As for the programming differences, if I'm not mistaken there are some differences. Are you using a manual from an FBP for programming your panel. If you would like, I've got a copy of the PDF of the FB panel here.
That may be your issue. I don't think this keyboard is compatible with the 128FB panel. It looks like from what I'm seeing this keypad is only compatible with the 128BP and the 128FBP. Check this page here to verify that I'm correct.

Let me know what you think. I'll help you any way that I can. I know how frustrating to wait on hold with honeywell. I've done it for a large portion of my life, too large a portion.
