i have a vista 10 se that was installed in 2000. i purchased the house six months ago and the system is working but frozen because i cant get the master code . the seller past away. is there a way the master code can be changed?

Already Tried:
not much because in order to make the system respond as you know you need a code!

Glen Moore : Hello,Courtesy and respect for my time and efforts is greatly appreciated. Please work with me until I can either help you or opt-out. Thanks! You will need to power down the system by removing all power (transformer and back up battery in the main panel) which is usually located in a closet or cabinet somewhere. Then reapply power get to the keypad within 50 seconds and press the * and # XXXXXXX in at the same time. You will see a number 20 on the screen. Enter a four digit code that you would like as an installer code. Now press the * button then 9 and 9 again. Try the code and hit the off button to see if it makes a single beep.
