DVR is continuously rebooting and will not start recording. Also some days do not have recording files.
Hello -- can you please tell me the make and model of your DVR, if you have administrator code, and (if needed) tools to remove cover and do test / repair? Please advise
What model number please
Is it a stand alone DVR or integrated with monitor? How many channels?
I would advise a system reset - settings will be lost in most cases - but this *should* clear up OS realted issues to determine if you have a HD failure. Please try the following:One method to try is as follows: 1) Remove cover on unit. 2) Remove the "button battery" , about the size of a quarter on the main board 3) PUSH AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON for about 10 seconds WITH the battery OUT. 4) Turn unit OFF 5) Re install the button battery and turn unit ON. This *should * reset the DVR to factory admin codes, Please "Accept" answer or let me know if I can further assist you. ===============================
Good luck, thanks for your time. Also, do you have a "spare" HD as if you are missing files, this is a sign of HD failure as well, and while you have the coveer open , it is a simple swap out. Please advise.
I appreciate the offer - try to change at check out, HOWEVER, I can confirm that your hard drive is failing by the answer / fix. This will happen again, so I would advise getting a new Hard Drive ASAP. Good luck, and thank you for tour time
