Ok

is there any response from the keypad (ie beeps as you punch in code?) Is there a zone number at all or just the OC???

It sounds like a communication problem with the KP but I need the above info to confirm...

Customer replied 354 days and 9 hours ago.

After powering up each of the four keypads beeps (about every five seconds) until I push any button on each keypad. Then as I push one button on each keypad that keypad stops beeping. All the keypad says is " open ckt" The keys on each keypad remain lit but the LCD stays dark. After the single button push the buttons do not do anything.

The alarm has been working for about five years. It went into this mode while I was out of the house. I don't think that the cat did anything while I was away.

It sounds like a keypad bus problem...

You need to find the control box (a box about a foot and a half square in the roof or in a cupboard near the ceiling) and will have to open it then remove the power pack and battery. Wait ten seconds and reconnect both...

See if the bus comes back online...
