Customer Question

I have a Liftmaster 12xx - Chamberlan. Just clicks when I hit or hold the wall mounted control button. The little green light next to the smart button flashes 4 times, waits a bit and flashes 4 times etc. If I press the smart buton, the little green light stays on for a couple of minutes, then goes back to its flashing activity.

Any ideas. BTW, I was away for several weeks and might have taken a lightening hit - just don't know for sure.

Nothing other than unplug it for 20 minutes.

Hi

Does the door open manually ok?

Also check the safety beams are operating correctly....

Is there any other model number?

Customer replied601 days and 8 hours ago.

The door opens manually, although it is heavy - it's a 45 year old wooden door.

I released the handle to the chain so there's no pressure to the unit from the door.

Actual medel Number is XXXXX

The safety beams seem to be all right.

That flashing is indicating a problem with the safety beam or the cabling or control board of the opener...
