Customer Question

Afraid we're not there yet...

I did the following:

9173 - entered programming mode
0067 - entered location for User Code 3
008 - entered "master function" for that location
0813 - entered location for User Code 3 "areas"
001 - entered "Area One" for User Code 3
9899 - exited programming mode

That all seemed to work as expected. However, when I then entered my personal code + 7 followed by "03" for User Code 3, the system replied "EXIT" instead of "ENTER CODE 3" as expected. The same thing happened when I entered "001" instead of "008" (i.e. attempting to establish User Code 3 as a "Duress" code).

I was able to get User Code 3 to accept a new four digit code via my code + 7 when I put "250" at the 0067 location. I got the "250" idea from page 65 of the manual as it indicates the "250" as the default entry for User Code 1.

Help!

Thanks.

The 250 means it does all functions EXCEPT Duress... Please confirm the code in user 3 is working correctly as an arm/disarm code if set as a 250....

Customer replied 698 days and 5 hours ago.

Yes, entering "250" at location 0067 results in me being able enter an arm/disarm code for User Code 3 by entering "my primary code + 7", then "03", then a four-digit code. That four digit code then works to disarm the system.

However, I can't get they system to allow me to enter a four-digit code for User Code 3 when I place "008" or "001" at location 0067. When I do that, then enter "my primary code + 7", then "03", then system responds with "EXIT" instead of the expected "ENTER CODE THREE". I can only get it to respond with "ENTER CODE THREE" if I've place "250" at location 0067.

I had another look at the manual.....Its quite confusing but we will need to use the 250 for arm/disarm codes and 033 for Duress... We need to add the "Works on Keypads" functioon to any code . The numbers are added together hence the 033 for a Duress..
