There are small jacks that can be placed under the frame to stop the noise .
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
The jacks are very reasonably priced and easy to install
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
1: locate access door for under house
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
2: while one person is under the house another has to locate the spot inside where the noise is loudest
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
3: when the spot is located ( will
be in middle of course) the inside person taps on the floor to help the one under the house locate the "spot"
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
4: the person under the house will then place the jack at that location
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
I will give more details about the jack in a few moments.

This is the type of jack you need.
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
They are also available at other "big stores" and hardware stores
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
NOTE: depending on the problem you may need more than one jack
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
To install the jack under the house once the problem area
Has been located.

do the height of the area must be determined allowing
for a solid concrete block to be placed under it
.
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
Note: should read "so" not do
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
2: the jack must be placed under a load bearing
Frame in the middle wall. ( usually a steel beam or joist)
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
3: place the jack on the concrete block and the other end under the frame
pre adjusted do it will barely fit.
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
4: tighten or extend the jack( it will come with directions) until it is firmly in place but not raising the house
Expert:  Machinc replied 12 days ago.
