Customer Question

I used Krud Kutter Graffiti remover on my Vinyl siding. I must of left it too long and/or scrubbed too hard, now there is a "whiter" stain. Is there anyway that I can "restore it's original color? I can spray water on it and the original color comes back but once it dries the fade comes back. Anything that I can do?

don't give up. The vinyl color
is all the way through . Depending on the size of the stain there are several methods you can use .

What you are seeing is not a discoloration of the siding but rather s buid up of the grafitti remover.

For a first step use a mild dishwashing detergent and warm water . Scrub with a sponge and rinse inmediately.?

This is a link to simple green. Most graffiti removers are petroleum based . They can leave a powdery residue if not diluted or left to dry.

When pressure washing vinyl use low pressure and stand further back than for brick.

This is a good product but you need to follow directions and rinse immediately.

Both of these products I have posted links for work well on many stains .
Technically yours is a petroleum or oil based stain as it has penetrated the viny more than one wash may be necessary.
