Home Improvement Questions? Ask a Handyman for Answers
Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.
I just saw the question on the board and wanted to respond even though it has been a long time by the time base.
For some reason the question came up in the engine category.
The garage door opener has a battery for operation when the power fails to the home.
Any noise is related to that and is ONLY letting you know the battery needs changing.
There is NO DANGER and no need for alarm, it is not a critical situation.
Get a battery when possible for replacement, if power is lost on the home, the opener will not function without the good battery, that is all that will happen.
