i have an American eagle gun safe that is locked. I think the battery is to dead to work. How can i change it when it is locked.?

Try either turning the ring clockwise to remove the battery or

Which comes out of the owners manual I reviewed.

  • Remove the tape with the red tab on the bottom of the face plate.

  • Locate the trap door and push it up and slightly forward. The battery tray will drop down.

  • Remove the dead battery and attach the new 9 Volt battery.

  • Slide the battery back into the opening and replace the trap door.
