There are no code provisions prohibiting it

It would be good design practice to avoid plumbing in the ceiling of any equipment room with expensive electrical components but there is no prohibition.

The building code for LA city does not prohibit water lines and sanitary sewer lines from being installed over Telecom Equipment. I thought you needed to have drain pans installed under the lines, to prevent a leak from short circuiting the electrical.
