I have a air vent running through a 2nd floor bathroom wall

Customer Question

I have a air vent running through a 2nd floor bathroom wall that I plan to open as I am increasing the size of the shower. Can I reroute the vent under the floor and then through another wall back up the ceiling and then the roof. I would route it through the same opening in the roof. Thx,

It's not clear to me just what type of vent this is; an HVAC vent? a plumbing vent? Sounds like maybe a plumbing vent. If so then yes you can re-route it. Actually you could re-route an HVAC vent as well.
