There have been too many things done and the opener could have a jumbled memory at this point..
These units are finicky and the procedures must be exact without variation.
So, in order to attempt to get this learned into the opener, we must start from scratch
I will write the exact procedure to follow and post, but first you must erase the memory.
Push and HOLD the green learn button and do not release until the light on the back turns OFF. Approx 6 seconds on most.
Let me know if it does as it is supposed to and then I can post the steps.

I assume the small LED came on and turned off in the process of holding the button?
If so, proceed:
STAND right at the opener with the Keypad in hand.
If at any point in this process, there is no confirmation after an action STOP immediately.
1. Press * and # ***** together and HOLD, the keypad numbers should begin flashing and continue to hold until keypad stops flashing.

If it doesnt Flash--STOP
If it doesnt stop flashing--STOP
2. One by one, slowly press the keys and Enter your 4 digit pin and press #
Wait 2 seconds then go to next step below
3. Press number 4 and then #
4. Press and release the Smart/Learn button
on garage door opener.
The small light on the rear at the learn button should FLASH or Turn ON.
If it doesnt==== STOP
5. After pressing the green learn button and the LED coming on or flashing, within 30 seconds----Enter your 4 digit PIN and press the 0 key.
The small learn LED light on the back of the opener should turn OFF and the opener Lights might also blink ot turn on
6. To test and use, wait until light turns off,
enter your PIN and press the 0 key

This internet process of trying to program the wireless key pad is not appropriate. Takes much to long.I'm sure the expert is good. But this internet based process stinks. Returning unit to Home Depot.Got a different unit at the local door store. Programed the new wireless unit for both garage doors in a snap. My questions were real time answered over the phone since the instructions packaged with this unit did not store the PIN correctly.
