Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.
Who is the manufacturer of the safe?
Unable to find that Model number at this time.
let me know and we can continue,
Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sentry valueguard 1300
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 1 year ago.
Ok, thanks.
Appears it is an old unit, as Sentry does not even list it in their database.
is this a 3 number or 4 number combination?
Does it also have a key?
Is this a dial safe or digital electronic?
Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
3 number/dial/no key
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I know to clear the tumblers go left unlike many safes that clear to the right first.
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 1 year ago.
This is Sentry's standard combination with 3 numbers on a dial.
A. Start the dial at zero.
B. Turn the dial to the left. Make sure ZERO
passes the pointer at least THREE times. Then stop
at the first number of your combination.
C. Turn the dial to the right. Stop the
SECOND time you reach the second number of
your combination.
D. Turn the dial to the left. Stop the FIRST
time the pointer reaches the third number of your
combination
Let me know how it goes.
You are 100% sure on the combo numbers, correct?
Sentry can supply them to if needed, it just takes paper work and a notary if you did not register the safe when purchased online.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I know all of what you have told me. It appears that you've been to the same website I have been to. Yes combo is correct. Now how do we proceed?
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 1 year ago.
I have their standard safes on file along with hundreds of different items. Just have to find others in the databases available,
Not sure what you mean by proceed?
You do the steps in order with your combination.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes I did the steps in order. Before I contacted your firm.
"how do we proceed" means done all of what you have told me from their website. What is the next step? "how do we proceed????
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 1 year ago.
Ok,
There was never a mention that you had entered the combination through the steps provided. You posted that you did not know the steps.
Your original stated:
"we know combination but cant remember how to clear tumblers and then enter combo"
So, either the combination is incorrect or the steps were not in the proper order.
There are no other possibilities with dial combination safes.
Since your safe is not in the database, you might try the Sentry's old combination steps, which is reverse of the ones today.
A. Start the dial at zero.
B. Turn the dial to the right. Make sure ZERO
passes the pointer at least THREE times. Then stop
at the first number of your combination.
C. Turn the dial to the left. Stop the
SECOND time you reach the second number of
your combination.
D. Turn the dial to the right. Stop the FIRST
time the pointer reaches the third number of your
combination
That is how my oldest safe works and the newer one operates as previously posted.
Those are the only 2 sequences with safes of 3 numbers.
So, if that does not open the safe., you would need to fill out the form with Sentry and continue with the "lost combination" procedures.
Copy and paste the link below to start the process:

That is the only thing that can be done at this point, there just are no other items do try.
