Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

Is the problem only on closing ?

Does it act the same with the remote and the wall button?
Or only the remote?

Have you tried using the remote closer to see if there is any difference?

The details of the situation will help to determine the issues and it can change based on the details.
So, please elaborate as much as possible when the problem occurs.

Let me know and we can continue,
Thanks

It seems to be only a problem when closing the garage door.
I notice it does it both with the remote and the unit on the outside of the garage. The unit inside the garage seems to work the best and doesn't cause as many problems.

Ok, thanks.

First, be sure your have known fresh batteries in the remote and the outside keypad.

Since the wall button seems to work fine, it appears the issue is around the wireless communications.

Also, look on the opener and there is a small black wire that should be hanging downward, be sure it isn't scraped , broken or damaged in any way, that is the antenna that receives the information form the remotes and outside keypad.

Also, next time it happens, try the remote standing directly under the opener.

Last resort, if all else fails to help the issue, is the main board inside the opener may have failed and needs replacing.

Check the antenna and batteries first in all the remotes and keypad.
