Ok, thanks for the information.
Many times the universal units become a little finicky and it takes
a few times for it to take hold and the opener learn the remote.
Let me post the steps that would be for your opener and you can verify
they are exactly what was already attempted.
Make note:
Once the Learn button on the opener has been pushed, there is only 30 seconds to complete the rest of the steps. Or you must start over.
1. Remove the cover. Press and hold the program button
inside the remote until the LED on the remote turns on
2. Press and release the Program/LEARN button on your
garage door opener
3. The Learn button LED on the rear of the opener next to the button should light up and stay lit
If not, it is not ready
4. Select a button to program on your remote--- pick ONLY ONE.
Before step 5 , be sure you have already noted what the color of the openers learn button is so you can do this step with no delay.
5. Press and release the button 2 times slowly in succession
if your learn button on the opener is Orange/Red
Press and release the button 3 times slowly in succession
if your learn button on the opener is Purple
Press and release the button 4 times slowly in succession
if your learn button on the opener is Green
6. Very critical here------
Make sure the LED stops flashing between each press of the button.
Slow pushes and releases in succession while watching the Led on the remote
7. The garage door opener will respond by clicking, blinking,
or activating once the last push on the remote is done
8. If it accepts the code, then you must now
Press the program button on the remote control to
save it in memory (this is the remote and NOT the opener button)
If it does not, you must start over and try once more
I have seen where it takes 3-4 tries before it accepts the remotes request.
May have to completely erase all memory and then add the new remote first and all others
after it is working
That sequence can be posted as well
Hopefully the opener accepts it first shot, keep me posted
Thanks
