i need to replace an old electric 4 burner range (with oven).

Resolved Question:

i need to replace an old electric 4 burner range (with oven). It is a drop-in. Even though it is a drop-in and not free-standing, will it still have an electrical cord and a plug? I am really asking, for the new stove, will there be an outlet to plug into, or is a drop-in stove wired differently into the house?

A drop in stove will have a built in box in the back.
It will be hard wired with wire nuts and there
Should be a smaller bare ground wire connected to
The chassis.
This is a job for the experienced do it your selfer.
Make sure the power is disconnected at the breaker box
When removing and disconnecting the old
Unit.
Hire an electrician to connect the new one.
CAUTION if you have any doubt the power is off let the
Electrician disconnect the old unit.
You can do all the prep work and have the electrical
Done professionally .
Be careful
