Welcome, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do my best to help you with your issue
Is this more or less permanent?
Hi Rick, I have recently air-conditioned my bed-room here in Trinidad, West Indies. I have two rows of vent block about 64'' by 5''.
Ok, so you want to close up the vents and you cut a board to do this but it's not a tight fit? and you want this to be permanent?
Not permanent. Permanent would mean plastering it with cement. I would prefer something temporary so that I could remove it if I wish.
Then you're best bet would be to fill the gaps with foam ("rubber") gasket material/weather stripping. There are many options at any hardware store around here. I'm not sure what's available where you are
Weather stripping at Amazon.com
Thank you. I will check the local hardware here and see what they come up with. By he way I have a Rick in my name. Der-rick
